@ Jill - But walking all over burns off the calories as you consume them... ;)

@ Ramona - Yep, there's just no comparison. Though I've heard from some of my Twitter pals that CT clam pizza is even better...

@ Sylvie - Oh, good to know. I'm filing all these tidbits away for when I eventually get brave enough to garden.

It's been a couple of years since I've been to NYC, but what fun it is to go! I also always come back with food stuff (I love Chinatown and the Village area for that too!). Good for you, Colleen! Sounds like you had a great time.

In regards to strawberries: it is possible to have strawberries in DC now. If only more growers were growing day-neutral strawberries like Tristar. I grow them in my garden, and have strawberries from May until frost: instead of getting 40 or 50 quarts from by bed in June, I get 1 or 2 quarts every week until frost (in late October). Much more manageable in the home garden - but a pain to pick for the farmer, as you must pick every few days. Learn more about them, by reading my post at: http://www.laughingduckgardens.com/ldblog.php/2008/06/26/of-strawberries-and-sorbet/

What a great trip! We need to do this for a girls' weekend. Instead of going to spa in an attempt to lose weight, we'll happily gain 5 lbs. eating our way through the city!
