@foodietot
Hi, I’m Colleen, a.k.a. @foodietot on Twitter. I’m a farmers market junkie, sustainable & local food advocate and mama to a 3-year-old boy (the original Foodie Tot). I shop, cook and eat across the Washington, DC/Chesapeake Bay region — and share weekly “at market” reports and recipes to inspire others to make the most of our fresh, local bounty.
If you want to follow the strictly kids cooking feed, follow @foodiekid and keep tabs on the boy’s adventures in the kitchen. If you have kids, please join us for the new Kids Cook Book Soup monthly event!
I take my love for family dairy farms to extremes over at CheeseandChampagne.com (and @100cheeses, where my co-author Jill and I share the latest from our cheeseboards and around the cheese world).
When not obsessing over where to find local flour or the plight of the Chesapeake blue crab, I also support DC’s Farm to School Network, Share our Strength (@sharestrength), the World Food Programme (@FriendsofWFP), Heifer International (@heifer) and American Farmland Trust (@farmland).
Thanks for checking out my profile, and I look forward to connecting on Twitter! While you’re here, why not check out the Sustainable Family Supper series, and subscribe! — Colleen, aka @foodietot
