Mom Made Foods

January 18th, 2009 · 4 Comments

mom made foodsI have a confession to make. I don’t cook dinner from scratch every night. I know, you’re shocked. We limit fast food of course, but sometimes we get pizza or take-out, and sometimes we just need something quick that can be ready in five minutes so we can get the toddler up to bed. I’ve been an admirer of Heather Stouffer’s Mom Made Foods since she launched her organic frozen baby food at our neighborhood farmers market in 2006. I’m thrilled that her business has done so well, and her frozen baby and toddler foods recently launched nation-wide through SuperTarget. We picked up the toddler bean and cheese “burrito” this week for a taste. It’s more “hot pocket” than burrito, but comes in the perfect toddler-sized whole grain crust and is full of protein. And, my two-year-old ate the entire burrito, which is pretty significant for a boy who can never sit still for more than two minutes at a time. Mom Made’s meals are made entirely of US-sourced, USDA-certified organic ingredients, making them a great guilt-free back-up option for busy parents.

Today is the last day for a $9 Target rebate offer, but sign up for Mom Made’s newsletters to be notified of future special offers. There’s a store locator on the website, and locally they can also be found at Whole Foods. Enjoy!

Hey Colleen, next time your son has a Mom Made bean burrito, you should try one yourself with beer – I”m not kidding. I noticed the avocado in your pic. I’ll have to try it that way!
