just melted white chocolate — didn’t get it thin enough to coat evenly, though, but the boy thought they were cute enough. 🙂

Very cute. We were up at a farmers’ market making Bug Salsa with Tortilla Spikes. I didn’t take a picture of the final product, but instead of our adorable kid volunteers on my most recent post.

YUM! Would it work to just dip it right into the chocolate to cover? Or does it just slide off?

@ Mariko, yes I just dipped/rolled it in the chocolate, then used a knife to smooth it out. As I mentioned to Sylvie, the chocolate didn’t melt thin enough to just dip — I’ll probably try melting a bar next time instead of the chips. But as long as you rinse and dry your pears first, the chocolate should stick just fine.

Oh wow, those are adorable, great idea! For some reason I’m thinking that maybe pears can somehow be turned into bells for Christmas, hmm…
