Happy Food Day! Yes, we just marked World Food Day about a week ago, but today is US Food Day — a day to celebrate real, good-for-you & good-for-the-earth food. It’s also Monday, so if you’d like to learn more about Meatless Monday, here’s a look back to our feature on NPR. As I thought about what to say today, I thought I’d try to summarize our food philosophy. Just about every recipe I post contains farm-fresh real ingredients. Why? Because Foodie Tots know their farmers, know where their food comes from, and know real food helps grow strong and healthy minds and bodies. And so I present the Foodie Tots manifesto:
EAT FOOD.
REAL FOOD.
TOGETHER.
Tonight we’ll be eating mushroom risotto. {Check out our recipe for carrot risotto for a kid-friendly favorite.} What’s on your dinner table tonight?

By request, it’s an omelet. But I’m going to try to plan the rest of the week’s dinners with more vegetables.
There’s been too many short cuts in our dinners. I need a way to get proper food in my 4 year-old. Despite low energy levels and little time.

@Linda ~ Omelets are great for dinner in a hurry. One thing I’ve found that helps with vegetables is to prep them ahead of time — pre-sliced peppers can be tossed in to whatever you’re making, for example.

Glad to say I let my two kids eat real food since they were toddlers. They never tasted any cereals on the box or any bottled baby food. I always prepare veggies for them during meal time. I breastfed them and so far they have grown healthy.

I love the wordpress blog but I needed some time to find it. You should take a look at The SeoPressor plugin It eliminates all your content and on-site SEO difficulties. It is remarkably easy to use and you could start getting real traffic in less than a week!
